Vibratory Drivers & Extractors

Products

Vibro hammers have been proven to be the fastest most efficient way to drive a pile throughout the world.

  • Drive, extract, plumb and manipulate the pile
  • Displace soil at the tip of the pile using vibration and weight to drive faster
  • Environmentally friendly with low vibration, noise, or contamination
  • Electronically control the pumps to adjust hydraulic flow on the fly
  • Hydraulically control with a relief valve to manually adjust the oil flow
  • Combine several Vibros together to multiply the driving force in stiff soil
  • Several clamp options allow for a variety of applications and pile types

Features & Benefits

American Piledriving Equipment has made a name in the piledriving industry with its cutting-edge advancements in technology over competitors. The bulleted list below describes a few of the benefits you can expect when choosing an APE Vibratory Driver Extractor for you construction project:

  • One piece eccentric gear eliminates fasteners inside the gearbox
  • Heavy Metal technology raises energy for more amplitude
  • Multistage suppressor doubles line pulls at a third of the hammer weight
  • Bolt on suppressors adjust the height and weight to job site need
  • Helical cut gears add precision to the gear strength and eccentric speed
  • Spherical bearings allow the vibro to handle side loads on batter piles
  • Vibro can be used horizontally for stuck horizontal casing
  • Field designed assembly makes maintaining APE products simple and easy
  • Gun drilled top plate, and manifolds eliminate unnecessary hydraulic hoses
  • O-ring sealed gearbox makes transition to underwater operations easy
  • Vegetable hydraulic oil reduces environmental impact and fines if a spill occurs

Accessories

  • 90 degrees turn plate
  • 4’ and 8’ Extension

Refusal Criteria for Vibros

If the pile does not move one foot in 30 seconds of vibro operation at full speed, resort to a larger vibro. APE equipment may exceed the refusal driving criteria for short periods of time as may be needed to penetrate hard soil layers or obstacles.

Contact APE or your local APE distributor for special instructions when faced with refusal conditions.

In such cases, a heat gun is used to monitor the temperature of the bearings and related components to prevent use of the machine beyond 195 degrees at the bearing covers.
