APE D62-22 Diesel Hammer with Schiavone in the Raritan Bay

Schiavone Construction of Secaucus, NJ recently used the APE D62-22 Diesel Hammer mounted in an APE 43″ Bottom Drive leader system to drive 48″ diameter steel pipe piles. The piles were installed under the Rt. 9 Bridge in Perth Amboy, NJ, recently renovated by Schiavone. Weight and expediency were critical in this application. Working under the bridge limited crane size and the contractor needed to perform the work quickly. Kudos to Bernie DeLargey of Rush and Parker for the assist.
