John White, President of APE and Aat De Neef, Mananging Director of APE Holland have formally signed agreements covering the EU.
APE Holland has already sold many APE vibros to Dutch contractors, including the tandem 50 shown here and the 200-6, APE’s fastest selling model.
APE Holland specializes in leader system design and all aspects of pile driving equipment. APE Holland engineers have assisted APE USA in meeting the EU standards, a key component of APE’s success in Europe.
The leader system shown in the attached photo was designed and built by APE Holland. While tandem vibros are nothing new in Holland, this unit was much less expensive to build than IHC’s hydro hammer with extraction options. In addition, the APE Tandem has much more extraction ability than the IHC impact extraction system. The U.S. Navy / Seabees do their homework before they purchase anything. They knew they wanted the best piledriving equipment in the industry. That’s why they decided to purchase 2 brand new APE 150 vibratory hammer packages and 2 brand new APE D19-42 diesel hammers. APE Mid-Atlantic held a 1-day piledriving school for the Navy/ SeaBees at “Little Creek” Amfib Base in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We went over basic piledriving history, equipment operations and maintenance for both diesel impact hammers as well as vibratory hammers. it was a great turn out and a great learning experience! It gives APE and APE Mid-Atlantic a great honor to help our boys in uniform!
APE Holland has successfully set up an APE Model D36 and a Model 50 Tandem to drive pipe piles in St. Martin. APE’s Tandem uses patented technology developed by APE. APE Holland was opened last year to expand APE in Europe. Hats off to the APE Holland Group.
When Nick Graczyk called APE/J&M N.E. he was in a bind. While driving 7 ft. diameter cans deep into the muck of the Monongahela River at Charleroi Lock & Damn #4 they tore the caisson beam out of the bottom of their ICE 815. Nick called in a panic looking for a hammer asap. By the next day we had an APE 200 on the job. The 200 performed so well that after the 815 was repaired they chose to continue using the 200 and leave the 815 in the yard. We thank Brayman/Trumbull for going APE!
J.H. Reid General Contractor of South Plainfield, NJ had to drive sheet piles adjacent to NJ Transit railroad tracks in South Orange, NJ. Errant vibrations were a concern so J.H. Reid called APE/J&M Northeast for the APE Model 250 Variable Moment Vibro, which is designed to minimize the potentially damaging vibrations that occur upon starting and stopping a standard vibro. Rated at 4500 inch pounds the APE 250 Variable Moment Vibro is the most powerful available. APE’s variable moment line also includes the APE 170 at 2200 inch pounds and the APE 120 rated at 1600 inch pounds. We have a variable moment vibro for almost any job.
Thank you J.H. Reid for the continued business.
