I’ ve seen bigger

When a South Florida contractor was faced with driving 24-inch concrete piles in 60-ft lengths, “no problem” he thought. Weight soon became a huge issue but guys from A.P.E. solved the problem.
A D19-42 was selected in order to to get the 80-ton capacity needed. There were several strange looks as the D-19 arrived at the jobsite. The hammer looked small next to the 24-inch pile and in the 32-inch leads, it looked even smaller. There was some doubt among the pilebucks that this hammer would actually drive the pile. Several minutes later, the pile was down and the doubt removed.
The important lesson here: it’s not the size of your hammer, it’s the know how that gets the job done!

Look who’s coming to Florida

When Fenton Rigging came to Florida for bridge work on the CSX Railroad, they called A.P.E. to get the job done. Fenton and A.P.E. have a long, successful history together, so with this new venture into FL., they went with the name they trust!
American Piledriving Equipment supplied a D-36 with a hydraulic start, and 80 ft. of leads to drive the 30-inch pipe piles for the bridge re-fit.
American Piledriving Equipment is honored to be the choice for Fenton, and proud that Fenton Rigging continues to go A.P.E.!

Local 1026 goes APE!

American Piledriving Equipment is proud to take an active part in helping to teach our trade. Not only does A.P.E. have it’s own piledriving school, but we supply equipment and supplies to others that wish to teach and learn the art of piledriving. In this case, it was the local 1026 South Florida Carpenters & Pile Driving Union. Many thanks to Frank, Jack, and all the students for making this a success!

Ed Waters & Sons go A.P.E.

When Ed Waters & Sons found themselves in the market for a vibratory hammer, they called American Piledriving Equipment. Having already purchased an A.P.E. D-19, they were used to our quality, and service, which has been an important factor in the many successful projects Ed Waters & Sons is so well known for.
The A.P.E. Model 50 Vibratory Hammer was deliverd on site in Orlando, Florida ready for work. There was some concern among the Pilebucks when it arrived, seems they were expecting something “bigger”. The Model 50 had no trouble driving the 50ft. sheets of PZ-27 in pairs. All doubts were quickly resolved by “the best little hammer” in the industry.
Many thanks to Ed Waters & Sons for going A.P.E….again!
